Yes. The sequence editor, all eight cloning strategies, the OpenCloning-compatible cloning workspace, primer design, multiple sequence alignment, CRISPR guide design, restriction digests, gel simulation and the electronic lab notebook are free for everyone, academic or commercial, with no verification step. Protein folding, drug discovery runs and the AI assistant start on the Pro plan.

Anything that runs on a GPU or a language model: ESMFold structure predictions, FoldRx drug discovery runs, hosted models such as Boltz-2 and DiffDock, and the AI assistant. Free users can still open the protein folding and FoldRx demos to see what those tools produce.

One pass of the FoldRx pipeline on one target: fold the protein, find its pockets, dock a compound library and score the results for ADMET. Pro docks up to 100 compounds per run and Max up to 500. Each further design round on the same run counts within that run, up to the plan's round limit.

The molecular biology tools and the lab notebook have no limit and keep working. Compute pauses until your allowance resets, each month on the day your plan renews, or until you move to a bigger plan, which takes effect straight away and is charged pro rata. A move to a smaller plan takes effect at your next renewal. Packs of extra runs are coming soon. Allowances do not roll over.

Yes. Verified academic and non-profit researchers pay $15 a month for Pro and $69 a month for Max. The free plan needs no verification at all.

SnapGene charges $350 a year per academic user and $1,845 a year per corporate user to edit and simulate cloning. Geneious Prime charges $620 and $2,150. Talindrew's cloning suite is free, and Pro, at $240 a year, adds protein folding and drug discovery, which neither SnapGene nor Geneious offers.

Yes. Teams pay $59 per seat per month with runs pooled across the group, single sign-on and audit exports. Larger organisations can ask for an enterprise agreement without a sales call being required to start.
