Effective date: May 18, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
- By accessing or using Talindrew ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
- Talindrew reserves the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform you represent that you meet this requirement.
- If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at talindrew@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Acceptable use
- You may use the Platform only for lawful research, educational, and commercial biology purposes.
- You must not: (a) upload data that infringes third-party intellectual property; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract non-public Platform data; (c) use the Platform to design or assist in creating biological agents intended to cause harm; (d) circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security mechanisms.
- Violations may result in immediate account termination and, where required by law, reporting to relevant authorities.
5. Your data and intellectual property
- You retain full ownership of all sequence data, annotations, and project files you upload or create on the Platform.
- By uploading data, you grant Talindrew a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Platform to you.
- Talindrew will not use your sequence data to train machine-learning models without your explicit written consent.
6. Talindrew's intellectual property
- The Platform, including its software, algorithms, UI design, and documentation, is owned by Talindrew and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
- Nothing in these terms grants you any rights to the Talindrew name, logo, or Platform software beyond the limited licence to use the Platform as described herein.
7. Third-party services and integrations
- The Platform integrates with third-party services including NCBI BLAST, AlphaFold2/ESMFold APIs, and payment processors. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.
- Talindrew is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or output of third-party services.
8. Disclaimers
- The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
- Computational predictions (protein structure, ADMET, BLAST alignments) are provided for research purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for wet-lab validation or professional scientific judgement.
9. Limitation of liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talindrew's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
- Talindrew is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or research outcomes.
10. Termination
- You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
- Upon termination, your licence to use the Platform ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.
11. Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Talindrew is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
- Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
